One Room Challenge Fall 2018 ~ Week 5

Welcome to Week 5 of One Room Challenge.  It's unreal how quickly time flies and to reimagine a room + getting items ordered, delivered, and installed in 6 weeks, the challenge is REAL! At this very moment, I wish my own home office looks just as fabulous as this one by White Cabana.

My top priority this week is wallpaper.  The delicate Ballroom Beige (more like a blush) from the Maestro collection by Symphony Wallcovering (available through Crown Wallpaper in Canada) is ready for install and it's even more beautiful in person!

Arrived in a big roll and it literally felt like Christmas as we unrolled the paper, precut the pieces, and then wrapped the entire room with it.  A tip for those who are planning to install a large (and wide) roll of paper on their own, invite a friend or two over for a wallpaper party.  Those extra pairs of hands will surely come in handy when you try to hang the full sheet (54" x 96" in our case) and then smooth out the bumps without a hitch.

While the guys were busy "gift wrapping" for us, I did a little unwrapping in the guest bedroom for all the goodies I sourced for the home office. Books, pillows, baskets, lamp, artwork, and chairs, I can't wait to try them out once the room is ready.

Oh and if you have missed the sneak peek of the piece we commissioned the talented Angela Chrusciaki Blehm on my IG story, here is another peek.  It's such an incredible master piece and you will love it when you see it on the wall next week.

The wallpaper party continued into the evening (surprise!) and our super hard working handyman managed to put up the wall sconces for us in the eleventh hour!

And just as we were ready to celebrate with a glass of bubbles, we discovered four of these gorgeous Murano glass circles had gone MIA! We immediately reached out to the seller and hopefully miracle will happen for Week 6 Reveal!

This is how the sconce should look like in its full glory.

That's it for Week 5.  The final home stretch is happening right now and I am hopping over to the 20 featured designers and other guest participants to see what they are up to before reveal week!
