It is with great honour that I present to you the first guest post on Design Maze! Susi, the fabulous writer from Design Shuffle, has created a wonderful piece to walk you through 8 rooms that are exqusitely designed and decorated, with many elements I would love to replicate in my own home. Without further delays, here is Susi.
Hi, I'm Susi, a writer over at Design Shuffle, a fantastic site that showcases the work of designers from around the world. I'm excited to be here today at Design Maze as a guest blogger. I was asked to do a post about eight perfect rooms. Perfection is definitely in the eye of the beholder. I hope you enjoy my choices. What would your perfect interior design be? Thanks for letting me stop by and visit.
This room is a perfect mixing of contemporary, modern and ornate design elements. The masculine feeling of the furniture and portrait is perfect in a room with ornate architectural flourishes.
Another prefect room choice mixes traditional and contemporary in a stylish way. I love the pops of sherbet colors in a neutral, well tailored space. Gorgeous gold accents are perfect.
This kitchen has so many perfect design elements. Things I love include the mix of open and closed storage; the task light next to the stove; classic white subway tiles; and the natural and industrial elements.
This monochrome cream bedroom design is a perfect example how a monochrome room can be uber-stylish. A few black accents add drama to the layers of cream. The contemporary glass chandelier feels like the perfect light fixture for this space.
This breakfast nook is another perfect space. Well proportioned lighting, a mix of round and rectangular shapes, light and dark colors work together to make it ideal. Love the artwork that ties into the function of the space and the color scheme.
A bathroom need not be enormous to be perfect. This bathroom by Sarah Richardson is a perfect bathroom with its gorgeous finishes and space expanding design tricks. Your bathroom designs can exude whatever type of ambiance you prefer.
This dining room is perfect because of the sofa style banquette; it provides the perfect spot to linger over a perfect meal. This space is another beautiful example of mixing old and new; vintage and contemporary.
Mixing patterns is an art form. This living room does it perfectly. Notice the mix of large, medium and small scale patterns that create balance. Gorgeous decorating ideas fill this corner.

So what do you think? I of course love the architectual details in the first living room, the full height windows + French doors on the 2nd living room, the gorgeous country-inspired kitchen with a modern twist, the beautiful bathroom from Sarah's House 2, and of course the cozy red accent on that sofa's skirt in the final picture! I am going on a hunt for the perfect vintage ribbon to glam up a plain Jane linen bedskirt.
Thanks again Susi for the eight gorgeous rooms!
