H&M Home ~ Spring 2019

Hello Tuesday and yay to a few spring like days last week (despite of the snow storm happening outside of the windows today)! Yours truly is heading to Germany for a family visit and with 10C in the air, I can't wait to escape my Canadian winter.  From Fall / Winter to Valentine's Day, the retail world has moved right into Spring and H&M HOME had me at HELLO with a hooray of charming florals, delicious shades of pink, and chic black + white architectural motifs set in a beautiful sun kissed villa in Tuscany.  Need I say more?

Here is how Evelina Kravaev Soderberg, Head of Design at H&M HOME, describes her spring collection:

“This season we celebrate the beauty of spring with lots of flowers, pink hues and pretty prints. There is something poetic and dreamy about this beautiful collection that takes inspiration from forlorn gardens. Plants are so important for our well-being and flowers really take centre stage in this collection”

You all know I love colors and bold patterns.  It is no surprise that the glorious palette of pink, neutrals, with pops of cheerful yellow, plus a brilliant mix of elegant florals with modern tile-like geometric motif had my design loving heart skipped a beat.

The sharp contrast of black and white is best pairing with neutrals / natural materials to create a warm, inviting home, especially in the winter months.  I will be working on a master bedroom + ensuite project soon, and these fabulous spaces I spied on H&M Home will surely serve as my inspirations.

Oh yeah, the new condo will also have a little terrace, now I just have to get my fingers on this super chic outdoor patio set!

Are you ready to bring your next garden party ... perhaps indoor?
