If I were to move into the condo this week and had to get ready for my first holiday party, where would I go shop?
Black Rooster Décor is a fantastic local resource based in Toronto and Nina has travelled around the globe to bring us a chic, edgy, and fun collection that will surely win over your design savvy heart. Today, I am dreaming about holiday entertaining and with a blank slate in mind, I have put together my dream lounge and entertaining zones + sending my wish list to Santa this Christmas!
I love a cool lounge area for entertaining: the cozy, relaxed spot where friends just chill and catch up on the latest. Of course "cozy and relaxed" doesn't just mean "shabby chic" and to up the style factor, I am mixing in abstract arts for a striking backdrop (love the black frame accent and the pairing of taupe, green, and cream perfection), a cloud like chandelier for a heavenly touch (great volume without overpowering the space), an instant classic side table with mixed marbles, and of course a gentleman inspired chaise in luxurious leather to finish up the look.
Though small in size, I love the charm and character the Dora bowl by JA adds to the space (in case you haven't noticed I am kind of obsessed with his collection).

Space is at a premium at the new condo so I am making the home office to work overtime as a bar for delicious treats and drinks. Starting with a sophisticated iron geometric table statement, an on-trend arched mirror with a thin black stainless steel frame in a blackened iron finish, an elegant wall sconce (also serves as wall sculpture), and this oh-so-sexy leather chair, all I need to do is to serve up a some home baked madeleines on this sleek polished nickel tray + signature cocktails with the whimsical JA ice bucket and bar set.
And to top it all up, let's not forget these adorable mouse ornaments for an fuzzy festive touch!
