IDS 2015 ~ House & Home Edition

Hello Wednesday! Did you enjoy the bakery bistro inspired kitchen by Style at Home at IDS?  Today we are stopping by the spectacular kitchen by House and Home, and for a moment I thought I was inside a cozy, beautiful country home in England!

At first glance, this kitchen doesn't have a lot of cabinetry.  It has a long run of lower cabinets, floating shelves, and classic shaker panel painted in a rich, smokey indigo blue for a dramatic statement.

A lot of little styling tricks to pick up in this super chic kitchen:  sleek sconces by Lambert & Fils (instead of pot lights), vintage brass tray with stack of bistro glasses, framed wallpaper as art, group together a collection of cutting boards, and potted blooms or greens to complete the refreshing look.

Here is one of my favorite shots in this British Eclectric-style kitchen:

Another look of the main wall from a different angle.  This pair of dynamite Nolan Pendants from Arteriors was probably one of the most talked about elements in this kitchen.  Its mid-century aesthetic sharply contrasts against the classic shaker panels, while the vintage brass finish works in perfect harmony with the smokey indigo walls.

I so need a pair of these stunners in my next kitchen!

Loving all the little details the House & Home team put together in this installation including the millwork at this "window", this brass knob on the pantry door, and hello backsplash (from Ann Sacks by Martyn Bullard)!

Speaking about pantry, this must be one of the most inspiring pantries I have ever seen.

What a smart idea to pull the wall out a couple of feet to create this walk-in pantry outfitted with yet another beautiful pendant, breathtaking wallpaper from Zoffany, and packed with well designed, practical storage with simple kitchen cabinets from IKEA.

We are now ready to check out the other side of this kitchen.  What a gorgeous wall to wall, full height storage + servery for ultimate entertaining! Love this shot (upper right) I took from inside the pantry.  Never thought I would be back inside the closet but so worth it right?

Kidding aside, here are a few of my favorite detail shots of this side of the kitchen:

Glorious, just absolutely glorious with the cherry blossom branch, the rolling ladder, and stunning "natural" light.

I hope you love this sensational kitchen by the House & Home team as much as I do.  With some much to see and little details to learn from, I simply couldn't resist sharing a couple more pictures with you.

Now I am ready to sit back and admire this eclectic, charming, and soulful British inspired kitchen! BRAVO!

One last note ... the talented Sarah Walker of The Curated House has written a fabulous lesson learned after visiting this House & Home kitchen.  Be sure to check it out!
