Spring Refresh with Switch Studio

Hello Friday!  The weekend is almost here and I plan to enjoy a full day of sunny and warm weather this Sunday with an afternoon walk in High Park. It has been months since we have the right climate condition to be outdoor and with the arrival of spring, I simply can't wait to spend my time outside to take in the fresh spring air!

Speaking about spring refresh, April is the perfect month for us to switch up our home decor to echo the bright blue sky, the fresh cool breeze, and the gorgeous, delicate, and fragrant spring blooms.  You know I like to change up my home decor from season to season, and one great way to freshen your home to welcome the warmer months without breaking the bank is to give your toss pillow a new cover or to re-imagine a piece of furniture you cherish by puting it in a new dress.  Many of you are super handy and maybe able to DIY these projects.  But for those who are like me who have never touched a sewing machine in their lives, Staci Edwards of Switch Studio will be your new best friend.

Specializing in fabric, sewing, and upholstering, Staci offers a wide range of services from custom pillows/draperies, reupholstering pre-loved treasures, to custom furniture pieces.  Here are a few sensational pieces Staci did for designer Meredith Heron.  I adore Meredith's entire office and these stunning blue velvet chairs just had my heart skipped a beat.  Inspiration doesn't stop there, check out this custom ottoman with the incredible greek key nailhead detail.  #IDIED #AGAINandAGAIN

Custom furniture is also one of Staci's specialities.  Mesmerized by the beauty of these classic Louis XVI chairs with an edgy ostrich feather backs, Staci has recently mastered her own version for her clients.  Now I am dreaming the same details on a pair of pre-loved chairs.  Think I should just do it!

So if you spotted an absolute must-have upholstered furniture piece in your favourite magazine but don't know where to get it, give Staci a call and she may just be able to help you out!

Here comes the fun and exciting part: Staci carries all the designer fabrics and that of course includes the Sarah Richardson fabric collection for Kravet!  Pillow is by far the easiest way to give your room an instant update without the expense of purchasing new furniture or to re-paint the rooms.  If you love mixing colors and patterns like me, and you don't sew your own pillows like me, you will have to talk to Staci!

Three of the patterns in this picture are turning into two beautiful pillows for #ProjectChris as we speak.  Thanks Staci!

The Honey & Opal colorway is warm and cozy.  It is also a perfect complement to my Harry Chair with grey geometric upholstery. I am toying with these fabrics for a delicious lumbar pillow.  As for the final product, you will see it soon enough!

  1. Thanks so much for the mention Tim!! So great seeing at the store opening yesterday!!

  2. I was just thinking of picking up a few new pillows for Spring so this giveaway is so timely! I've always loved Staci's work which has been inspiration for some of my own upcycled projects. I like the grey-blue Floral Pillow, the one from Sarah Richardson collection, and the Leopard Print one. I am crazy about cheetah and leopard prints these days.
