Classic + Glam: Jessica Waks

Hello Wednesday!  While it is still below seasonal temperature outside, I am absolutely ready to welcome spring now that we are officially in March!  This winter has been brutal and I just hope that we will be rewarded for a long, sunny summer.  Dreaming aside, today I want to share with you  this stunning home completely re-imagined by the super talented Jessica Waks.  I love Jessica's work (the cottage she designed stole my heart last summer), and she's done it again with her luxe, glam, and bold Gregorian style home in Toronto!

First impression is key and the foyer needs to strike gold.  As the real estate agents always say: the buyers have decided to buy or not within the first 30 seconds!  The mod black & white palette in this entrance works wonder with the sophisticated floor pattern, beautiful railing on the staircase, mesmerizing mini crystal chandeliers, and dashes of lavishing gold and vivid fuchsia as accents.

I love the eclectic look of this vignette with the golden faux bamboo console, lucite stool, vintage vases, and a fresh, bright, contemporary art.  Once again, Jessica has proven to add personality and soul to the space, you have to collect pieces you love over time.  That floor, such a dramatic backdrop to ground this pure white grand entrance. #Bravo!

Are you ready to check out Jessica's kitchen? I hope you are sitting down because it's absolutely breathtaking! A light as feather soft creamy white on the cabinets, calacatta marble with golden veins as countertop on the island and backsplash, hits of black accents on window-covering and stools, and of course the brilliant brass injections throughout the heart of this home: what is not to love?

To help us understand the layout and how one space connects with another, here is a floor plan of this fascinating and functional open-concept space.

What a stunning shot of the kitchen and the brass accents just took my breath away.  My top favs are the pendants (love the scale and industrial vibe), the faucet (which man wouldn't love that large pull down spray?), and that custom range hood adds such a luxurious touch to this elegant, classic kitchen.

This sophisticated Hollywood glam eat-in area and chic living space had me at hello! You know I love faux bamboo: check out that side table and dining chairs!! The rich, royal blue sectional with nailhead is so luxurious and it offers an incredible amount of seating.  What a smart idea to max out seating capacity through the sectional sofa and the banquette in the eat-in area.  The pair of artwork in the living room, flanked by a pair of sconces, is the perfect focal point above the sofa.  That brass dining table base … I am now on the hunt for one!

A home just isn't a home if it's not filled with all things loved. Here are a few of Jessica's favourites and I am in love with these vintage vases: such intricate patterns and the most beautiful colours!  What is your favourite?

Thanks Jessica for sharing your beautiful home with us.  It is so inspiring and I can't wait to see more of your home.  Jessica also shares her behind-the-scene footage of the transformation on her blog.  Be sure to cheek it out for extra tips!!
