Dream Bath w/ The Home Depot

Hello Wednesday! It is giveaway time again and for this week, I am shopping at The Home Depot. This all inclusive home improvement giant is truly an ultimate one-stop shop for DIY experts and renovators alike. No project is too small and our knowledgeable friends in orange aprons are always eager to help.

I have been toying with the idea of a bathroom redo at my condo. I gave the original salmon pink bathroom a facelift before I moved in 5 years ago and today, I am itching for a change. My bathroom is classic and timeless (if I may say that myself), so there is no real reason for me to "change" so to speak. But you know me, I can't really stick with one look for too long, and I have recently found a reason to dream again: the vanity light needs a replacement!

Inspired by Sarah's ingenious idea of hanging a pendant in front of a mirror for style and to amplify  light, I have found this elegant teardrop beauty as the object of my affection. Then I thought, why stop now if I need to replace the mirror (to cover up the original light junction box) and the lighting fixture already. Dream big or go home right? So here is my I have in mind with all the goodies available at the Home Depot (in store or online).

Effortlessly elegance, timeless classic, and ocean breezy is what I am after in my dream bathroom. I have long been super jealous of the Barbara Barry's desk at Christine's foyer, so you can imagine my excitement when I found this graceful beauty by Kohler that shares a similar design aesthetic. Pairing with the Dryden two handle faucet by Delta and rectangular sink by Kohler, this stunner is ready to meet the press!

I have been dying to install wallpaper in the bathroom, and this dynamic print by Graham & Brown offers just the right dosage of urban sophistication. Determine to enrich the serene palette of soft grey and watery blue, I am adding bianco honed chairrails and Carrara subway tiles for the lower part of the walls. For the floor (heated of course), I am going with this beautiful rectangular stone tile in many shades of grey + light ocean blue glass tiles for accents and sparkles.

Moving on to the shower zone of the bathroom makeover.  I love a warm, fluffy towel after shower, so I am putting this sleek, masculine square towel warmer on my wish list.  To echo the circle motif from the wallpaper, I am delighted to have found this showstopper Waterjet Calacatta Porcelain Glass blend tile for the shower walls.  Add a little gold via shower faucet system + hexagon stone tiles as shower floor (inspired by Lindsay's bathroom) + a sexy glass sliding door system, I think my shower is rather brilliant!

I am in trouble now because I really want to give my bathroom an overhaul!  I will still have to get a green light from Chris, but for those of you working on home projects, don't I have a treat for you.  To help with your next home project, our friends at the Home Depot Canada offers one lucky reader (resident in Canada only) a set of essential tools of approximately $50 in value.  While the wrench and pliers surely comes in handy with wiring/electrical/plumbing tasks, the drop-tested and waterproof LEDs flashlight definitely brightens up those dark corners.

  1. Happy Hump Day to ya. I'm dreaming of changing my kitchen cupboard fronts, to all white I think. These little essentials will help to make the task easier and give a bit of inspiration to get it all done. Thanks Home Depot too.

  7. Our next DIY job is putting a patio in our front yard & these tools likely won't help with that but my hubby doesn't own a wrench (seriously!) so I think this would be a necessary prize pack to win for him for when we need one! Thanks for the chance to win!

  12. I am loving that hexagon tile and the gold hardware! Makes the shower look so much more glamorous.

Bf and I moved into our new place 6 months ago and it's kind of embarrassing but we're still not finished! The tools would come in handy to help give us that final shove to finish putting things together, hanging things up, etc.

Have liked Home Depot on FB - no twitter or pinterest acct.
