Halloween Love + Winner of Cookbook Giveaway

Happy Halloween!  As many of you may know, I am not big on scary decoration.  In fact, I am usually on the same page as retail stores: Christmas is on high alert once mid October hits.  Although I still  didn't dress my place to anticipate "trick or treat" this year (don't get too much of that living in a condo anyway), I am quite impressed and inspired by some of the spooky elements out there this year.  I would like to call this "Spoophistication".

First up is my dear friend M's family home, and this household is definitely big on Halloween.  With three kids of her own and being right in the middle of a family friendly neighbourhood, M has certainly raised to the occasion and has done a fantastic job with her decoration.  Check this out!

Speaking of kids, aren't these two the most adorable and just how could I not include them on my Halloween Love post?  Christine (of Bijou and Boheme), you are such a style master! Your kids have certainly inherited your creative talent, and they are definitely not camera shy!!

Back to Halloween decor, Jen of Rambling Renovators has totally blown me away with her ingenious DIY mummy lantern!  It is super fun and easy to do.  Check out Jen's step-by-step instructions here.

Another DIY Halloween I love are these painted pumpkins by Anna Weaver on Made By Girl.  The project is super simple, and you are truly only limited by your creativity and imagination.  Check out Anna's painted pumpkins here.

For this Halloween, Sarah are inspired by pumpkin and skulls.  I love how these items are right on with the classic Halloween color combo (black + orange) and they are actually practical home decor.  Now these are the items Chris will approve!
