Home & Home Show Home: Part 2

I have shared with you my love affair with French country after my tour of this exqusite lottery home designed by the talented House & Home team a couple of weeks ago.  Today, lets check out the behind the scene footage featured in the October Issue of House&Home and see how Lynda's vision of a romantic, sumptuous retreat comes to life.  To help us understand the space better, here is the floor plan for the main floor:

I love this living room!  The warm wood tone, the stone fireplace, the patina from the vintage leather, faux fur pillow, and natural tree stump side table.  I just can't get enough of the pair of trendy mirrors in black frames and that stunning art work by Daniel Schenider.

Facing the living room is this gorgeous dining room filled with calming neutrals through the weathered wood finishes on furniture pieces, the natural linen in upholstery, light wood candle sticks, and a pair of breathtaking pendants with rope codes and burlap shades.  The dining room comes to life with accent of turquoise.

Left of the living room is a quiet retreat where the lucky winner relaxes, watches favourite movies, or just simply enjoys the beautiful backyard through the pair of elegant french doors.

Behind the living room is where country kitchen at its best: the custom cabinet with chunky crown mold, the ink black accents through the hutch, pendants, gas stove, and caesarstone counter top in honed finish, the classic white subway tiles extended to the ceiling, and that handsome island in natural wood.

Here is the stunning backyard! I love the windows, french doors, and shutters at the back of the house.  A shot of the cozy mudroom next to the garage.

We are now heading up to the sleeping quarters and this is the floor plan:

These intimate bedrooms guarantee many nights of sweet dreams and yes, they all come with an ensuite bath!  Have to mention the front door, the handsome staircase, and my absolute favourite has got to be that wine barrel chandelier!

A shot of this chic and romantic black + white bathroom for the master ensuite and I love this mid-century modern inspired entrance.

This cheerful bedroom with red accents may well be my favourite bedroom in the house and if you love wine, you need to buy tickets for this lottery home.  These two rooms are located in the lower level and check out this floor plan:

  1. I have to admit I quite like this; Linda is really hitting her stride with this modern rustic thing. Or is it rustic modern?
