Ikea: 2012 Edition

IKEA, this Sweden power house continously offers us with great designs at unbeatable prices.  I'm sure you all have just received your copy of the 2012 catalog and wow, what an inspirational read!  I shared with you some of the amazing products from the 2011 catalog last Fall, lets take a look at some fab IKEA products "in action" in 2012!

Check out the chic cover this year: all white with plywood as backdrop .. simple, cozy, and very Sweden.  I flipped to the next page and was instantly inspired by this fun fabric turns focal wall and how the bed is framed by the pax systems.  Yours truly had successfully accomplished a similar bedroom makeover last year: great minds do think alike!

Another fantastic bedroom idea using pax nexus wardrobe and ribba floating shelve.  It also features my new favourite stockholm side table and the malm bed frame in white stained oak.  Love the simple art work above the bed.  If you have some pale colored sticky notes, you could do the same as well.  I would probably frame it up in ribba for a more finished look.

Earthy and Industrial, that's exactly many of us are drawn to these days.  IKEA has once again exceeded our expectation and brought us edgy and cozy products at fraction of the cost at other retail stores.  Talking about getting the look for less, my personal favourite here is the Bytholma/Mariebery armchair, the hemnes glass door cabinet, and the neutral ursula cushion covers.

I have never met a white space I don't like.  Love of white and pop of colors aside, the IKEA team offers us ingenious ideas to maximize storage at every corner!  The billy bookcase wraps around the window to utilize otherwise spot designated for drapery.  What a great storage idea for those where privacy is a non issue!

Now about the fun stuff, check out that yellow chair next to the window!  I absolutely love it!  The trio of violins, the cello, and the rug added warmth to the space.  The pop of red on the sofa and blue from the chair also liven up the space.

Another fantastic storage idea in a loft with the besta collection.  Close or open, the choice is yours when it comes to storage.  Love the black frames on the windows: edgy, on trend, perfect for a chic city loft!  The green is a refreshing take on a mod black and white scheme.

This red and white combination just made me happy and the lack wall shelve unit in race car red surely is a bedside table alternative.

A couple of new products also caught my eyes.  This nyvoll chest is sleek and contemporary.  Doesn't it remind you of the incredible DIY from Lindsay? If you are not ready to take on the DIY just yet, IKEA has one ready made for you.

I also love this eivor certains for its hand drawn, storybook quality.  Will be using it in the builder's dream project.

So has IKEA inspired you? I have ready checked out their new collection and you should too!
