Royal Ontario Museum: Water The Exhibition

Water: The Exhibition is now at the Royal Ontario Museum.  I was there a couple of weeks ago and I've learned a lot about water.  Living in Toronto, we are the fortunate ones who get to enjoy a glass of refreshing water right from the tap or take a nice hot shower in those cold winter nights.  Water is always within our reach that we almost forgot fresh water is essential to life and a scared and finite resource to us all.

ROM has done such a great job pulling together hands-on activities, live animals, and multi-media displays to illustrate the importance of water and what we can do to protect our blue planet.

Check out these fun, bold, colourful posters:

Little fishie and froggie will lead your way.

I couldn't take more photos once I went into the exhibition but let me assure you Water is both fun and educational, to both kids and adults.

Of course the ROM's Gift Shop is a must see and let me tell you, they have the perfect decorative items for the Summer!  You all know I love pillows.  Check out these embroidered pillows in my favourite Star Fish and Sea Horse motif.

Fun and stylish octopus and coral candle holders for added ambience in those warm Summer nights.

Neutral sea shell placemats and coasters (they come in two sizes) and fantastic paper weights with red coral!

If you are looking for an "interactive" gift, you should consider this self-sustaining aquarium of shrimp & algae.

So what are you waiting for? If you haven't checked out Water: The Exhibition and looking for something to do on those rainy weekends (seems like that's all we have these days), take a trip to ROM and you won't be disappointed.

  1. ooh...i might actually take my kids there...thanks for that tip!

  2. Love it! The Rom is always such a good time!
